Wajima Urushi Technique
Each pen in the Iro-Urushi collection is meticulously crafted by skilled artisans using the time-honored Wajima urushi lacquer technique. The production process involves applying layer upon layer of lacquer, followed by careful polishing to achieve a smooth and radiant finish. This labor-intensive journey spans at least three months, showcasing the artisans' expertise, endurance, and dedication to their craft.
Timeless Colors
The Iro-Urushi collection features captivating colors that were immensely popular during the Edo period and frequently appear in ukiyo-e artworks.
18k Gold President Nib
This luxurious fountain pen is equipped with an exquisite 18K gold President nib, finished with rhodium for the first time in this series.
Limited Availability
Due to the recent Noto Earthquake in January, which caused substantial damage to Wajima and many lacquer artisans' studios, the production of these pens is currently extremely limited. We sincerely hope for the swift recovery of the artisans and their craft.

About the Platinum Izumo
The Platinum Izumo fountain pens were launched in 2010 and were named after the city of Izumo, the birthplace of Platinum Pen founder, Shunichi Nakata. The Platinum Izumo boasts a voluptuous size and beautiful curves, a clip that mirrors the shape of the pen, and is equipped with a #6 nib from the Platinum President. It comes in a variety of finishes such as urushi, wood and woven bamboo. Its classic cigar shape and substantial size certainly make a statement!
The Platinum Izumo has an 18kt gold nib and uses a Platinum converter or Platinum ink cartridges.

How much is my shipping?
Hong Kong and Macau have a flat rate of HKD 35.
For all other countries, the shipping rate is dependent on the order’s weight and will be calculated at checkout.
Which courier will my order be shipped through?
For Hong Kong and Macau, your order will be shipped through SF Express.
For Taiwan, your orders will be shipped through SF Express or E-Express.
For all other countries, Standard Tracked Shipping is shipped through E-Express. Express Tracked Shipping is shipped through Speed Post.
When will my order arrive?
Standard Tracked Shipping: For Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan, estimated delivery time is approximately 2-4 working days. For the rest of Asia, 2-7 working days. For the rest of the world, 7-14 working days.
Expedited Shipping: Within Asia, typically 2-4 days. For the rest of the world, around 3-5 days.
